“In this festive season, on this auspicious occasion, appointment letters for government positions are being distributed to 51,000 young individuals at the employment fair. Appointment letters have been issued to countless young people even in states governed by the BJP and NDA,” the Prime Minister remarked.
Additionally, he congratulated the youth who received appointment letters from the Haryana government.
“Our government has established a distinct identity in Haryana. While the government does facilitate job creation, it does so without incurring any costs or complications. Today, I extend special congratulations to the youth who have received appointment letters from the Haryana Government. It is also commendable that the newly formed government in Haryana has made an exemplary start by offering employment opportunities to approximately 26,000 young individuals,” PM Modi noted.
He further mentioned the significant increase in Khadi sales, which have risen by 400 percent compared to the period under the UPA government.
The sale of Khadi has surged by 400 percent in comparison to the period of the UPA government. This significant increase demonstrates the expansion of the Khadi industry, which is advantageous for artisans, weavers, and traders. Such growth not only benefits the Khadi sector but also positively impacts various segments of society, leading to enhanced employment opportunities and stimulating economic development, he stated.
“Over the past decade, our policies have transformed the landscape of Khadi and Gramodyog. The lives of the rural population associated with these industries have also been significantly improved. Notably, Khadi Gramodyog is now generating business worth over 1.5 lakh crore annually,” he continued.
PM Modi emphasized that the government’s objective is to foster economic independence and entrepreneurship among women in rural India.
“Our Lakpati Didi Yojana has empowered rural women by providing them with employment and self-employment opportunities. In the last ten years, 10 crore women have become part of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), allowing them to secure a livelihood. Our government aims to elevate 3 crore women to the status of Lakpati Didis, earning over Rs. 1 lakh each year. To date, 1.25 crore women have reached this achievement,” he remarked.
He further asserted that government employees in India should serve as a model for the global community.
“You must pursue excellence! Government employees in our nation should exemplify what the world should aspire to. Today’s aspirational India has elevated expectations, and it is only natural for the populace to demand more. These expectations represent our trust and are instrumental in propelling our advancement. It is our duty to meet the aspirations of the people. We must collaborate to create a brighter future and a ‘Viksit Bharat’,” PM Modi stated.
Earlier today, PM Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth during a Rozgar Mela via video conferencing on Tuesday.
