A significant highlight from the presentation was the upcoming launch of the much-anticipated Hyundai Creta EV, expected in the final quarter of FY25.

In the current quarter, HMI sold 191,939 passenger vehicles, with 149,639 units sold domestically, again supported by strong SUV sales. The export volume for this quarter was 42,300 units. Revenue for this quarter amounted to ₹172,603.84 million, marking a 7.50 percent decline from ₹186,596.91 million in the same quarter of the previous year.

The Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q2 of 2024-25 was recorded at ₹18,498.46 million, down from ₹22,320.36 million in Q2 FY2023-24. The Net Profit (PAT) for the quarter was ₹13,754.69 million, compared to ₹16,284.64 million in the same quarter of the previous year. HMI attributed the decreases in PBT and PAT primarily to weak market sentiment and geopolitical issues, including the Red Sea Crisis.

For the first half of 2024-25, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) was ₹38,532.29 million, compared to ₹40,205.15 million in H1 FY2023-24. The Net Profit (PAT) for this period was ₹28,651.21 million, down from ₹29,576.50 million in H1 FY2023-24. Despite the reduction in sales volumes, the company managed to sustain a PAT margin of 8.2 percent during the first half of FY 2024-25.

  • Revenue from operations: ₹172,603.84 million
  • EBITDA margin: Decrease noted.
